Durmitor is the greatest mountain range and the biggest NP (390 km?) in Montenegro. The highest peak is Bobotov kuk, 2525 m high.

Hydrography is constituted by 5 gorges and 18 lakes. The greatest gorge is The Tara River Gorge, while the biggest lake is Crno jezero (Black Lake).

The administrative center is a small town ? Zabljak, which has 1600 residents, but also the capacity in hotels and houses to receive 3000 tourists. In Zabljak are placed banks, the post office, well supplied grocery stores, hotels and restaurants.

During the summer season, tourists come for the sake of mountaineering, rafting, horse back riding, mountain fresh air, and during the winter season they come for skiing on the track Savin kuk.

The characteristic feature of the entire Durmitor region is an extremely small population despite of a perfectly decent road infrastructure. Namely, the roads have reached even the villages with less than 10 residents.
